Question 1

What do I get for signing up through this link?

Accepted Answer

500 FJ Points once you have made a purchase on FROM JAPAN. One FJ Point is worth ¥1 on FROM JAPAN, so the reward covers ¥500 of a later order, such as one item's handling fee.

Question 2

When do the 500 FJ Points arrive?

Accepted Answer

FROM JAPAN awards them 2 months after your items are dispatched from its warehouse. Signing up alone does not trigger them.

Question 3

Does a FROM USA order or auction count?

Accepted Answer

No. Only purchases on FROM JAPAN count. Items bought and auctions won on FROM USA are excluded, and FJ Points cannot be spent there either.

Question 4

Can I withdraw FJ Points or move them to another account?

Accepted Answer

No. FJ Points cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, lent or combined with another member's points, and they are not refunded if you close your account.

Question 5

Do FJ Points expire?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All your FJ Points expire if you make no new trade on FROM JAPAN for 1 year after your last one.

Question 6

What else will my first order cost?

Accepted Answer

The item price, Japanese domestic shipping at cost, a ¥500 handling fee per item, international shipping by weight and method, and any import duty, VAT or courier charge in your country. FROM JAPAN's Fee Calculator estimates the shipping before you order.

Question 7

What is the MaxRewards referral code?

Accepted Answer

jimmyk5996. Enter it when onboarding asks for a code, or later under Credits in the app's Gold menu.

Question 8

What does a referred friend get?

Accepted Answer

One month of free Gold, per MaxRewards' official Help Center, once you add a card. It's applied as a one-month discount on the annual Gold subscription after the 1-week trial.

Question 9

Does MaxRewards work outside the US?

Accepted Answer

No. MaxRewards only supports US credit card accounts, so it isn't useful with UK, Hong Kong or other non-US cards.

Question 10

Do I get a bonus for joining with code 55PNHS?

Accepted Answer

No. Improv Arena doesn't advertise a sign-up bonus for invited friends. You earn from accepted recordings and, if you pass their checks, rating and transcription work.

Question 11

How much can I earn in the UK?

Accepted Answer

Improv Arena pays per hour of accepted audio: up to $40 (about £30) for British English and $50 for Welsh, before league bonuses. Twenty accepted minutes at the top British English rate comes to about $13. Preparation, retakes and rejected takes aren't paid, so your earnings per hour at the desk are lower.

Question 12

Do I need a professional microphone?

Accepted Answer

The British English role asks for a USB or studio mic on a stand, such as a Blue Yeti. If the app can't confirm a professional mic, you can still be accepted with wired headphones at the standard rate; the confirmed mic adds up to 25% per take.

Question 13

Can I record in another language from the UK?

Accepted Answer

Roles are matched to your native language and where you live: the Cantonese role is for people living in Hong Kong and the Taiwanese Mandarin role for people living in Taiwan. From the UK the open roles are British English and Welsh. Improv Arena accepts applications in other languages but doesn't promise work in them.

Question 14

How do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Cash out in Rewards once you reach the minimum shown (currently $3–$5; 1,000 coins = $1). After approval, Tremendous emails you a link where you choose PayPal or a gift card. Amounts are in US dollars.

Question 15

What happens to my recordings?

Accepted Answer

Luvu licenses or sells them, with your voiceprint, age, gender and rough location, to AI companies for model training, synthetic voices and voice cloning. Withdrawing consent or deleting your account stops new use but not data already licensed, and deleting the account forfeits unredeemed coins.

Question 16

Why might my coins be withheld?

Accepted Answer

The terms let Luvu withhold or cancel coins for suspected fraud, more than one person or account, AI-generated audio, doubts about your age or an ineligible region. Record alone, on one account, in your own voice. UK users can ask support@luvufit.com for a human review of an automated decision that affects their payouts.
