B.AI Review UK: Is a 50% Top-Up Bonus Worth a Non-Refundable AI Balance?

B.AI's LLM Service reviewed for UK users: what invite code QW4Z3F does, list-price GPT, Claude, Gemini and DeepSeek models on one prepaid balance, the 50% top-up bonus and its 30-day expiry, who runs it, what it does with your prompts, and who should skip it.

Best for

Developers and heavy AI users who work across several labs' models, want one OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible API key, will use each top-up within 30 days and keep sensitive material out of their prompts.

B.AI charges exactly what Anthropic and OpenAI list on their own price pages, so the draw is the top-up bonus: 50% extra Credits on card and most crypto payments, 100% in BNB, up to $100 of bonus per account. A $20 card top-up (about £14.96) buys $30 of usage, a third off, provided you use it within the bonus's 30 days. Against that, every purchase is final and non-refundable, the operator is based in Panama with disputes settled by arbitration in Singapore, and the terms let it store your prompts and sell them in anonymised form. Use it for code and non-sensitive work with small top-ups you'll spend within the month; skip it for anything confidential.

Pros

  • Claude and GPT prices match Anthropic's and OpenAI's own list prices, model for model
  • 50% bonus Credits on card and most crypto top-ups, 100% in BNB, up to $100 per account
  • About 70 text models, from GPT, Claude and Gemini to DeepSeek, Kimi and Qwen, on one balance
  • One API key works with OpenAI- and Anthropic-style clients, including Claude Code and Codex
  • Pay by card, WeChat Pay, Alipay, UnionPay or crypto on chains such as TRON, Ethereum and Solana
  • Auto mode picks a model for each request with no selection fee

Watch-outs

  • Every Credit purchase is final and non-refundable
  • Bonus and registration Credits expire 30 days after they're issued
  • The terms let B.AI store your prompts and sell them in anonymised form
  • Run from Panama under Singapore law, with liability capped at three months' spending or $100
  • Premium models stay locked over the API until you top up
  • No iPhone app, and the Android app has 500+ downloads and no rating yet

Sign up via this B.AI invite for access to B.AI’s LLM Service — a credit-based multi-model chat and AI API module in the B.AI ecosystem. Docs describe fiat top-ups (including Stripe-supported cards, WeChat Pay, Alipay, UnionPay) and on-chain top-ups, plus wallet or Google-style centralized login. Prefer official B.AI access hosts listed in their docs (chat.b.ai or chat.bankofai.io). B.AI publishes no reward for the invited user; new accounts get registration Credits, and top-ups earn 50% bonus Credits (100% in BNB), up to US$100 per account, all expiring 30 days after issue. Credits pay for LLM usage, not withdrawable cash, all Credit purchases are final and non-refundable, and users must be 16 or over. Confirm model list, API base URL, privacy and pricing on live docs before sending sensitive prompts or large top-ups.

What B.AI is and who runs it

B.AI is a crypto-native AI gateway. Its LLM Service puts about 70 text models, from the GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Kimi, Qwen, GLM and MiniMax families, behind one chat window at chat.b.ai and one API key, all paid for from a prepaid balance of Credits. It makes no models of its own. Its crypto roots show everywhere: you can log in with a Web3 wallet signature as well as Google, top up on blockchains, and the terms describe "a borderless, anonymous and financially autonomous ecosystem for AI Agents".

The terms say the service is operated by B.AI with its principal place of business in Panama, and the Android app is published by Digital Times Technology Limited of Road Town, British Virgin Islands. The terms, last updated on 8 May 2026, are governed by Singapore law, and you must be 16 or over (under-18s need a parent's permission). No UK regulator appears anywhere, and Credits are prepaid usage rather than a deposit, so there is no FSCS protection. Don't confuse it with TheB.AI, a different chat service with a similar name.

What invite code QW4Z3F does

Signing up through our link attaches invite code QW4Z3F to your account. B.AI links each account to one inviter for two years, and you can't invite yourself. Its invitation rules describe no reward for the person invited: what a new account gets is the registration Credits B.AI gives new users (the docs don't state the amount; your balance shows it, and it lasts 30 days) plus the top-up bonus below. One practical extra: Plan Pro can only be bought after verifying a valid invite code.

Disclosure: QW4Z3F is BonusRoam's own invite code. B.AI pays us a rebate, 1% at its standard rate, of what you actually pay for eligible top-ups and subscriptions during those two years, in B.AI Coin that can only be turned into Credits. Bonus amounts, discounts and refunded orders don't count, and the rebate comes from B.AI, not from your balance.

Models and prices

Prices are in US dollars per million tokens, at $1 = 1,000,000 Credits. For every Claude and GPT model we compared, B.AI charges exactly the list price Anthropic and OpenAI publish: Claude Sonnet 4.6 is $3 in and $15 out, Claude Opus 5.5 $4 and $20, GPT-5.4 $2.50 and $15, GPT-5 mini $0.25 and $2. B.AI isn't cheaper per token; the saving comes from the top-up bonus.

Extras follow the labs' own structure: Claude and GPT-5.6 cache writes cost 25% more, cache reads are discounted, and web search costs $0.01 a use on most GPT and Claude models ($0.014 on Gemini). Three models are on offer with no end date: DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash at 60% of its price since 4 October 2026, GLM-5.3-Flash at 70% and Qwen3.8-Flash at 80% since 22 October. DeepSeek V4 models cost twice as much over the API in Beijing peak hours, 09:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00 on weekdays, which is 1am–4am and 6am–10am in UK winter time; B.AI Chat always bills them at the off-peak rate.

Topping up and the bonus

You top up from the dashboard by card through Stripe, WeChat Pay, Alipay or UnionPay, or on-chain on networks including TRON, Ethereum, Solana, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon and Optimism; card payments arrive quickly and on-chain ones usually take a few minutes. B.AI's FAQ sets the bonus at 100% of the Credits for top-ups paid in BNB and 50% for every other channel, up to a cumulative $100 of bonus Credits per account. Minimums appear on the Top up page.

The bonus has two catches. Bonus Credits, like registration Credits, expire 30 days after they're issued, and B.AI doesn't say whether it spends bonus or paid Credits first, so only top up what you'll use within a month. And under the terms every Credit purchase is final and non-refundable; purchased Credits can carry their own validity period, which B.AI shows when you buy.

How a B.AI top-up turns into Credits, at US$1 = 1,000,000 Credits: card (Stripe), WeChat Pay, Alipay, UnionPay and crypto on TRON, Ethereum, Solana, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon or Optimism earn a 50% bonus, reaching the US$100 cap after US$200 of top-ups; paying in BNB earns 100%, reaching the cap after US$100. Example: pay US$20 by card (about £14.96), get US$10 of bonus Credits, 30,000,000 Credits in total or US$30 of usage. Bonus and registration Credits expire 30 days after issue, and every Credit purchase is non-refundable.

What a top-up is worth: a worked example

Say you top up $20 by card, about £14.96 at the ECB rate for 23 October 2026 (US$1 = £0.748). The 50% bonus takes that to 30,000,000 Credits, or $30 of usage. Spent on Claude Sonnet 4.6, it covers 7 million input tokens ($21) and 600,000 output tokens ($9), a month of light coding-assistant use before any caching. At list price the same usage costs $30, so you pay a third less.

The bonus tops out at $100, reached after $200 of card top-ups or $100 in BNB; beyond that, B.AI costs the same as the labs' own APIs. Card top-ups are charged in US dollars, so any foreign transaction fee on your card comes straight off the saving. Without the bonus, or if the bonus expires unused, there is no price advantage at all.

Same prices as the labs, so the saving is the bonus. US$ per million tokens, input and output, on B.AI and on the official price lists: Claude Sonnet 4.6 $3/$15 on both; Claude Opus 5.5 $4/$20 on both; GPT-5.4 $2.50/$15 on both; GPT-5 mini $0.25/$2 on both. Worked example on Claude Sonnet 4.6: pay US$20 by card (about £14.96), the 50% bonus gives 30,000,000 Credits; 7M input tokens at $3 cost US$21 and 0.6M output tokens at $15 cost US$9, so US$30 of usage for US$20, a third off, if used within 30 days.

Chat, the API and Claude Code

In the browser, chat.b.ai (or the backup host chat.bankofai.io) gives you a model picker and an Auto mode that chooses a model for each request at no extra charge; the Usage page shows which model actually ran and what it cost. There's an Android app on Google Play, BAIclaw is a macOS desktop agent built on OpenClaw, and there is no iPhone app.

Developers create a key at chat.b.ai/key and point clients at https://api.b.ai/v1, which speaks OpenAI Chat Completions, OpenAI Responses and Anthropic Messages. B.AI's Claude Code guide sets ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL to https://api.b.ai with your B.AI key as ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN, and Codex works through a custom provider. Premium models can return 403 errors over the API until the account has been topped up: a key and free Credits aren't enough.

Plan Pro and Plan Max

Alongside pay-as-you-go there are two subscriptions. Plan Pro costs $200 a month for roughly 50 to 500 messages per rolling 12-hour window across the full model line-up and curated BAIclaw skills, and needs a verified invite code to buy. Plan Max costs $2,000 a month for roughly 500 to 5,000 messages, priority access to beta models and dedicated support; unused Pro time converts if you upgrade.

When a plan's allowance runs out, B.AI draws on your top-up Credits; when both are gone, features stop until one is restored. The message ranges are wide because capacity is released gradually and depends on system load, so a plan only makes sense if you already spend well over $200 a month on API usage and can live with that uncertainty.

What happens to your prompts

The terms give B.AI a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide licence over your prompts and outputs, and spell out that it can log and store prompts, keep them with metadata for debugging and optimisation, and "license or sell or transfer your User Content in an anonymized form". The privacy policy says prompts are processed in anonymised form and aren't linked to your email or wallet.

Your prompts also go to the model makers, some of which may train on them under their own terms, and B.AI's terms say you accept those terms. "Anonymous" access is relative, too: paying by card or logging in with Google identifies you to those providers. Keep client data, credentials and anything personal out of B.AI; requests to see or delete your personal data go to [email protected].

Refunds, closures and disputes

All sales of Credits are final and non-refundable. B.AI can suspend or close accounts at any time and for any reason, and can void Credits if it finds a breach such as multiple accounts or dodging usage limits. If it closes your account for any other reason, it refunds the remaining Credits to the crypto wallet you registered with, aiming to do so within 30 days; the terms don't say how that works for accounts opened with Google.

Its liability is capped at the greater of what you paid in the previous three months or $100, and disputes go to arbitration in Singapore, which is impractical for small sums. A card top-up under £100 falls below the Section 75 threshold, so if something goes wrong your realistic fallback is a chargeback through your card provider. To close the account, use up your Credits and email [email protected].

What users run into

On 24 October 2026 the B.AI Android app had 500+ downloads on Google Play and too few ratings to show a score; its listing says the app collects and shares no data. There was no iPhone app and no Trustpilot profile, so there is no meaningful public rating yet.

B.AI's own FAQ shows where users get stuck: being charged for a request that returned nothing (hidden reasoning tokens are billable), missing top-up bonuses (usually the $100 cap), unfamiliar models on the bill (clients calling other models, or a shared key), very different costs for similar requests, and cache hits that come and go. Lookalike sites are a known risk; B.AI tells users to log in and top up only on chat.b.ai or chat.bankofai.io.

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use it if you work across several labs' models, want one OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible key, will spend each top-up within 30 days and only send code or non-sensitive text. The first $200 of card top-ups is where the value is; treat everything after the bonus cap as list price.

Skip it if you only use one lab's models, need prompts handled confidentially, want refunds or a UK company to complain to, or are tempted by Plan Pro without knowing your usage. In those cases a single lab's own subscription or API is the simpler choice.

FAQ

What does invite code QW4Z3F give me?
It attaches your account to our invitation. B.AI publishes no reward for the person invited; new accounts get registration Credits, and top-ups earn a 50% bonus (100% in BNB) up to $100.
Is B.AI cheaper than paying OpenAI or Anthropic?
Not per token: Claude and GPT prices match the labs' list prices. The bonus makes your first $200 of card top-ups worth $300, a third off, if you use it within 30 days.
Do Credits expire?
Bonus, registration and reward Credits expire 30 days after they're issued. Purchased Credits can have their own validity period, shown when you buy.
Can I get a refund?
No. Credit purchases are final; B.AI only refunds remaining Credits if it closes your account for a reason other than a breach of its terms.
Can I use it with Claude Code or Codex?
Yes. Set ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL to https://api.b.ai with your B.AI key, or add B.AI as a custom provider in Codex; premium models need a topped-up account.
Are my prompts private?
Not fully. The terms let B.AI log and store prompts and sell them in anonymised form, and the model makers' own terms apply as well.
Is there an iPhone app?
No. Use chat.b.ai in your browser on an iPhone; there's an Android app and BAIclaw, a macOS desktop agent.
Is B.AI regulated in the UK?
No UK regulator appears in its terms, and Credits aren't deposits, so there's no FSCS cover. It's run from Panama, with disputes under Singapore law.
