Bitget Review: What the 7,700 USDT Welcome Headline Really Pays
Bitget reviewed for readers worldwide: who runs it and the long list of countries it won't serve, what the 6,200 USDT package and 1,500 USDT of Mystery Boxes are made of, the BTC airdrops code HJVQW776 unlocks, what the trading volume costs, fees, user complaints and who should skip it.

Best for
Crypto traders outside Bitget's prohibited countries who want its futures or copy trading and would trade 500 USDT in their first two weeks anyway.
Bitget's 7,700 USDT is two ceilings added together: a 6,200 USDT new-user package, most of it up to 6,000 USDT of challenge rewards for depositing and trading in your first 7 days, plus Mystery Boxes worth up to 1,500 USDT from the referral. What a new account reliably gets through code HJVQW776 is smaller and still decent: $15 in BTC once you trade 500 USDT within 15 days, which costs about 0.50 USDT in spot fees, another $15 at 50,000 USDT, and $50 more for staying active, plus a Mystery Box at each step that can hold USDT, coupons or trading bonuses. Most of the package arrives as coupons rather than cash, and Bitget serves no one in the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, France or Germany. Our call: worth opening if you want Bitget anyway and will trade 500 USDT; ignore the 6,000 USDT challenge unless you already trade at size.
Pros
- $15 in BTC plus a Mystery Box of up to 500 USDT for 500 USDT of trading in 15 days, about 0.50 USDT of spot fees
- Standard fees of 0.1% on spot and 0.02% maker / 0.06% taker on futures, with a BGB discount on spot
- Spot, futures, copy trading, bots and stocks in one account
- A Protection Fund Bitget says it keeps above US$300 million, plus Merkle-tree Proof of Reserves
- Licensed or registered in Australia, Switzerland, South Africa, Argentina, El Salvador, Mauritius and Georgia
- Well rated apps: 4.6 on the US App Store and 4.5 on Google Play
Watch-outs
- The 7,700 USDT headline is a sum of maximums; the 6,000 USDT part needs heavy trading in 7 days
- Most rewards are coupons, trading bonuses or vouchers, and Mystery Box contents are random
- Prohibited in 28 countries and territories, including the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, France and Germany
- No EU licence: Bitget serves no one in Austria, France or Germany
- Claim windows are short: 2 days for the new-user package and 30 days for referral rewards
- Trustpilot score of 1.7 from 1,694 reviews, dominated by frozen accounts and slow support

What Bitget is and who can use it
Bitget is a crypto exchange operated by BTG Technology Holdings Limited. It now calls itself a universal exchange: one account trades crypto spot and futures, stocks and ETFs, forex and gold, with copy trading and trading bots on top. Its licence page lists a digital currency exchange registration with AUSTRAC in Australia, membership of a FINMA-recognised self-regulatory organisation in Switzerland, CASP and OTC-derivatives licences in South Africa, a virtual asset provider registration in Argentina, Bitcoin and digital asset licences in El Salvador, an investment dealer licence in Mauritius and a licence in Georgia's Tbilisi Free Zone. It lists no EU licence.
Bitget's Terms of Use, updated on 20 October 2026, prohibit residents of Austria, Belarus, Canada, Cuba, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, North Korea, Russia, Singapore, Sudan, the United States and its territories, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Lebanon, Somalia, South Sudan, Thailand and the occupied parts of Ukraine. Where you live decides it, not your passport, and Bitget can add countries at any time.
Custody, the Protection Fund and Proof of Reserves
Bitget holds the keys to everything in your account, and no government deposit scheme covers crypto on an exchange. Its Protection Fund, held in bitcoin and valued daily on its own page, is meant to compensate users whose assets are lost in a platform-wide incident that isn't their fault; Bitget says it keeps the fund above US$300 million and decides each claim itself.
Bitget also publishes Proof of Reserves: a reserve ratio and a Merkle tree you can use to check that your own balance is included. That shows the assets exist at the snapshot, not that the exchange has no liabilities elsewhere, so keep on Bitget only what you are trading.
What the 7,700 USDT headline is made of
The 7,700 USDT is two different promotions added together. Bitget's new-user welcome package is worth up to 6,200 USDT: a 200 USDT Welcome Bonus for inviting one friend to Bitget yourself, and up to 6,000 USDT of challenge rewards for depositing and trading within 7 days of registering. The referral programme adds Mystery Boxes worth up to 500 USDT and up to 1,000 USDT, or 1,500 USDT at most.
The BTC part is smaller and firmer. Bitget's referral page lists three airdrops for the person you invite: $15 in BTC at the first trading level, another $15 at the second and $50 for staying active, $80 in total. Those are fixed amounts; the Mystery Boxes and the 6,000 USDT challenge are maximums.
The referral tasks with code HJVQW776
Register through our link or with code HJVQW776, then you have 15 days. Level 1: reach 500 USDT of combined spot and futures trading volume and you get $15 in BTC and a Mystery Box worth up to 500 USDT. Level 2: reach 50,000 USDT and you get another $15 in BTC and a box worth up to 1,000 USDT. A further $50 in BTC and one more box come with continued active trading. The task card also requires you to keep a net deposit on the account for a set number of days; the amounts show on the referral page once you are logged in.
Mystery Boxes can contain USDT, futures trading bonuses, futures position boost vouchers, Earn APR vouchers or 30% spot fee rebate vouchers, so the box value is a range, not a payment. Airdrops and boxes must be claimed and opened within 30 days in the app or they expire. The referral rewards can't be combined with Assist2Earn, Coin Buddy, CandyBomb referral pools or Trading Club Championship referral tasks.
Disclosure: HJVQW776 is BonusRoam's own code. Each time your trading unlocks an airdrop or a Mystery Box, Bitget gives us the same one. Nothing is taken from your rewards.
The 6,000 USDT new-user challenge
Every new account is entered automatically. Within 7 days of registering, how much you deposit and trade sets the tier you reach; higher tiers need far larger deposits and turnover, and the full 6,000 USDT sits at the very top. When the 7 days end there is a 3-day monitoring period, after which you have 2 days to claim in the Rewards Center. Claimed rewards land in the Coupons Center, and they are tied to your account.
The 200 USDT Welcome Bonus in the same package is for inviting a friend of your own, not for joining, so treat the package as a trading promotion. Bitget's landing page says the newbie task reward arrives within 10 seconds; the larger challenge rewards wait for the check above.
What it's worth: a worked example
Buy 250 USDT of bitcoin on spot and sell it within the 15 days and you have 500 USDT of volume: Level 1 done, for about 0.50 USDT in fees at 0.1% a side. You receive $15 in BTC and a box worth anything up to 500 USDT, often a coupon. Your real exposure is the price of 250 USDT of bitcoin for the days you hold it.
Level 2's 50,000 USDT of volume costs about 50 USDT on spot, 30 USDT as a futures taker or 10 USDT as a maker. The extra $15 in BTC brings the airdrops to $30, roughly the taker fees, so the Mystery Box is the only gain, and reaching that volume on futures means positions large enough for a small move to cost more than everything on offer.
Fees
Standard trading fees are 0.1% for makers and takers on spot, and 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker on futures. Switching on "Use BGB to offset fees" pays spot fees in Bitget's BGB token at a discount; Bitget's fee schedule gives the current percentage. VIP tiers lower fees further based on trading volume, assets or BGB holdings, and both discounts can apply together.
Crypto deposits carry no Bitget fee, only the network fee. Withdrawal fees depend on the coin and network and are shown before you confirm. There is no custody or account fee. Perpetual futures exchange funding every 8 hours: when the rate is positive, longs pay shorts, and the reverse when it is negative.
Futures, leverage and copy trading
Much of the package leads to futures: the challenge tiers reward trading volume, and many box prizes are futures bonuses or position boost vouchers that only work on leveraged positions. Leverage multiplies a small price move into a large loss, and a liquidated position can take the margin with it.
Copy trading on Bitget follows another trader's spot, futures or bot positions automatically, including the losses. Size a copy as if you had placed the trades yourself, and use a promotional bonus only where losing it would not matter.
What users complain about
On 24 October 2026 Bitget's app was rated 4.6 from 5,614 ratings on the US App Store and 4.5 from about 332,000 reviews on Google Play. Trustpilot, where people with problems tend to post, scores it 1.7 from 1,694 reviews.
The recurring complaints are accounts restricted or withdrawals blocked for weeks with only "under review" replies; generic support answers and no clear way to escalate; P2P disputes where the buyer claimed payment that didn't arrive; liquidations that felt larger than the move; and long chains of verification codes when withdrawing. Bitget replies to many app reviews and asks people to contact live chat or its review email.

Open the referral page and the Rewards Center straight away to see your exact task cards and deadlines, because the 7-day and 15-day clocks start at registration.
To leave, close positions, redeem Earn products, and withdraw your coins to a wallet you control after checking the network and fee. Claim anything you have earned before you go, since unclaimed airdrops and boxes expire.
Who should get it, and who should skip it
Get it if you live outside Bitget's prohibited list, want its futures, copy trading or tokenised stocks, and will trade 500 USDT within 15 days anyway: $15 in BTC and a Mystery Box for half a dollar of fees is fair.
Skip it if you live in a prohibited country, need a regulated EU platform, want cash rather than coupons, or would be trading futures only to climb the challenge tiers. The headline is not what most people receive.
