Kimi Review UK: Is a £19 Membership Worth It, and What Does Code KN9KB5 Add?

Best for

People in Britain who already want a paid Kimi plan for agent tasks, slides, deep research or Kimi Code, and who are comfortable with a service that stores personal information in mainland China.

Kimi is a capable AI agent from Beijing's Moonshot AI, and the real decision is whether you want a membership: Plus costs £19.00 a month or £179.99 a year through the UK App Store. Code KN9KB5 doesn't discount that. Bind your account through our link, pay for any membership within 24 hours, and you get one prize draw that always lands on a prize, from 3 days' to a year's worth of Kimi Go credits, usable until 31 December 2026. If you were going to subscribe anyway, open the link before you pay: the draw costs you nothing extra. If you weren't, don't subscribe for the draw, because the smallest prize is a few days of usage and Kimi publishes no odds. Weigh the privacy policy too: Kimi stores personal information in mainland China.

Pros

  • One prize draw on top of a membership you were buying anyway, and every draw wins a prize
  • Prizes run from 3 days' to a year's worth of Kimi Go credits, used like your membership benefits
  • Chat is free; Plus at £19.00 a month adds agent credits, Kimi Code and Agent Swarm
  • Agent Swarm coordinates up to 300 sub-agents across 4,000 steps for research and long reports
  • Cancel auto-renewal at any time and keep your benefits to the end of the paid cycle
  • Rated 4.7 from 471 ratings on the UK App Store (24 October 2026)

Watch-outs

  • No free reward: you must pay for a membership within 24 hours of binding the code
  • Kimi publishes no odds, and the smallest prize is 3 days' worth of Go credits
  • Prize credits expire on 31 December 2026, whatever their tier
  • A full refund or cancelled order voids the task and withdraws an unused draw
  • Kimi's privacy policy stores personal information in mainland China
  • Paid services count as used once activated and aren't refunded unless the law requires it

What Kimi is

Kimi is the AI assistant and agent made by Moonshot AI; the app is published by Beijing Moonshot Technology Co., Ltd. It runs on Moonshot's own models, currently Kimi K3.1 Pro, and goes well beyond chat: it builds slides, documents and spreadsheets, runs deep research, generates and deploys websites, writes code through Kimi Code and can coordinate up to 300 sub-agents across 4,000 steps in Agent Swarm.

It works on the web, on Windows and Mac through the Kimi Work desktop app, and on iPhone and Android, in English and 15 other languages. It is a consumer software subscription, not a financial product, so no UK regulator stands behind it: what protects you is Kimi's own terms, the app store you pay through and UK consumer law.

Plans and UK prices

Chatting with Kimi is free. A membership adds a monthly pool of credits for agent work and unlocks more features. On the UK App Store on 24 October 2026, Plus cost £19.00 a month or £179.99 for an annual pass, Pro £39.00 a month and Max £99.00 a month. The store still lists the older plan names, Moderato, Allegretto, Allegro and Vivace, at the same prices: Kimi renamed its plans without changing what they cost, and existing subscribers keep their old plan.

Kimi's help centre publishes its full plan table only for China, priced in yuan: Go ¥49, Plus ¥99, Pro ¥199, Max ¥699 and Ultra ¥1,399 a month. That table shows how the tiers step up. Go has no Kimi Code; Plus adds Kimi Code and Agent Swarm with twice Go's agent credits; Pro adds Goal Mode, a dedicated Kimi Claw and K3.1 Pro's 1 million-token context; Max and Ultra add more credits and parallel tasks. If you pay on the web rather than through Apple, checkout shows the price for your region before you confirm.

How the credit pool works

Every membership feature, from Agent and Deep Research to slides, Kimi Code, Kimi Work and Kimi Claw, draws on one monthly credit pool, charged by the tokens a task consumes. A long research job can use a large share, and when the pool runs out every feature stops until it refreshes. Credits refresh monthly on your subscription date, even on an annual plan, and unused credits don't roll over.

Two background charges catch people out. A deployed Kimi Claw cloud host takes about 0.6% of your membership credits every day at 4pm, whether or not you use it, and a website you have published with Agent takes about 0.08%. Delete the host or unpublish the site to stop them. Kimi Code also has a rolling five-hour limit, and paying members can switch on Extra Usage, a pay-as-you-go balance shown in yuan with a minimum ¥25 top-up.

The KN9KB5 invite and what you get

Kimi's Moon Companion Plan is a standing campaign, run under rules in force since 20 September 2026. Open our link, confirm the invitation so your account is bound to code KN9KB5, then subscribe to any Kimi membership and complete payment within 24 hours. Miss the 24 hours and the invitation lapses. You then get one draw on the campaign page, reached from Invite & Earn Rewards in the sidebar. Kimi's invite page says every draw wins a prize.

The prizes are Kimi Go membership-equivalent credits in five tiers: 3 days, 7 days, 15 days, 1 month and 1 year. They measure an amount of usage, not time, so the 1-year tier doesn't give a year of service, and all of them expire on 31 December 2026. Prizes are tied to your account: you can't transfer, sell or cash them out. Disclosure: KN9KB5 is BonusRoam's own code, so when you complete the task Kimi gives us one draw too.

How the KN9KB5 draw works: open our link and bind code KN9KB5; subscribe to a Kimi membership and pay within 24 hours; get one draw on the campaign page, where every draw wins; the prize is Kimi Go credits worth 3 days, 7 days, 15 days, 1 month or 1 year, valid until 31 December 2026. A full refund, cancelled or invalid order withdraws an unused draw; renewals and upgrades don't add another.

What the draw is worth

Say you take Plus through the UK App Store for £19.00 a month. That payment is the cost of the draw, and the draw returns one prize tier. Kimi doesn't put a price on the prizes, but its China price list gives a yardstick: Go costs ¥49 a month, about £5.50 at the European Central Bank's 23 October 2026 rates (£1 = ¥8.917). On that basis a 3-day prize is worth about 55p, 7 days about £1.28, 15 days about £2.75, a month about £5.50, and a year about £52.48 at Go's ¥468 annual price.

Two things cut that further. Kimi publishes no odds, so you can't count on the bigger tiers, and every prize expires on 31 December 2026: from 24 October that leaves 68 days to use even a year's worth of credits. Go also carries half the agent credits of Plus in Kimi's table. The draw is a pleasant extra if you wanted Plus anyway, and poor value as a reason to subscribe.

What you pay and what a prize is worth: Plus costs £19.00 a month on the UK App Store. Prize tiers valued at Kimi's China Go price of ¥49 a month (¥468 a year), converted at £1 = ¥8.917 on 23 October 2026: 3 days about £0.55, 7 days £1.28, 15 days £2.75, 1 month £5.50, 1 year about £52.48. No odds are published and all prize credits expire on 31 December 2026.

What voids the draw

Only the first successful subscription by the same person counts, and only the first inviter is credited. Renewals, upgrades, repeat subscriptions and price-difference refunds don't add another draw. The campaign is for personal accounts; Kimi Business users can't take part. Once you use a draw it can't be cancelled or given back.

If the subscription is fully refunded, cancelled or found invalid, Kimi treats the task as incomplete and withdraws any unused draws on both sides, while draws already used and prizes already won stay with you. So draw soon after paying. Your prizes appear under My Prizes on the campaign page and the credit bar under My Subscription, sometimes after a short delay. If a draw never appears, contact Kimi support with both accounts, a screenshot of the campaign page and the rough times of binding and payment.

Your data and privacy

Kimi's privacy policy, effective 31 August 2026 and linked from the UK App Store listing, names Beijing Moonshot Technology Co., Ltd. as the company handling your data and says it stores personal information within mainland China. It collects your phone number, your conversations and uploads, device details and payment records for memberships.

The policy says Moonshot uses de-identified inputs and outputs to improve its models; you can ask customer service to stop using your content for training, and switch off the memory feature in settings. Treat Kimi as you would any overseas service: keep client files, medical details and anything covered by an employer's data rules out of it.

Paying, cancelling and refunds

Through the App Store you pay Apple in pounds at the prices above; on the web, checkout shows the price and currency before you pay. Under-18s may only buy with a guardian's consent. Upgrading takes effect at once, with the unused days of your current plan credited against the new one.

To cancel, go to Settings, then Subscription Management, and choose Cancel Auto-Renewal on the web or app, or cancel under your Apple ID's Subscriptions if you paid through Apple. Your benefits last until the end of the period you have paid for. Kimi treats paid services as used once activated and doesn't refund them unless the law requires it, so pick monthly billing first if you aren't sure the credit pool is enough.

What users complain about

On 24 October 2026 Kimi was rated 4.7 from 471 ratings on the UK App Store and 4.5 from 48,200 reviews on Google Play. Happy users praise its writing, its research and how much the K3 models improved its coding and agent work.

The complaints repeat. Free users are told Kimi is too busy and pushed to upgrade; sign-in leans on a phone number, and some SMS codes never arrive; heavy users on annual plans hit the monthly credit limit within days of a big project; and voice input lags behind rival apps. None of these affects the draw, but they matter more than the draw when you decide whether to pay.

Who should use the code, and who should skip it

Use our link if you already plan to pay for Kimi for agent tasks, slides, research or Kimi Code, you are comfortable with data stored in mainland China, and you'll get through any prize credits before 31 December 2026. Bind the code first, pay within 24 hours, then draw straight away.

Skip it if you want a reward without paying, if you would subscribe only for the draw, if your work involves confidential or regulated data, or if you need usage you can predict month to month, since a heavy project can drain the shared pool early.

FAQ

Does KN9KB5 give me a discount on Kimi?
No. It gives you one prize draw after you bind the code through our link and pay for a membership within 24 hours. The membership price is the same.
Do I have to pay to get anything?
Yes. The free sign-up task has ended; only a paid membership completed within 24 hours of binding earns the draw.
Can I draw and win nothing?
Kimi's invite page says every draw wins a prize. The smallest is 3 days' worth of Kimi Go credits, and Kimi doesn't publish the odds of each tier.
Does the 1-year prize give me a year of Kimi?
No. It is an amount of credits equal to a year of the Go plan, and like every prize from this campaign it expires on 31 December 2026.
How much does Kimi cost in the UK?
On the UK App Store, Plus is £19.00 a month or £179.99 a year, Pro £39.00 and Max £99.00 a month (24 October 2026).
What happens if I cancel?
Cancelling auto-renewal keeps your benefits to the end of the paid cycle. A full refund, cancelled or invalid order withdraws an unused draw; a draw you've already used and its prize stay.
Do renewals or upgrades give another draw?
No. Only the first successful subscription counts; renewals, upgrades and repeat subscriptions don't add a draw.
Where is my data stored?
Kimi's privacy policy says Beijing Moonshot stores personal information within mainland China. You can ask support to stop using your content for model training.
