KKday Review UK: Booking Tours, Tickets and Rail Passes for Asia Trips, and What KKday Points Are Worth

KKday reviewed for travellers in Britain: what the Taiwanese marketplace sells, how cancellations and refunds work, paying from a UK card, KKday Points and member levels, and what booking through our partner link means (there's no sign-up discount).

Best for

People in Britain planning a trip to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong or South-East Asia who want day tours, attraction tickets, rail passes, transfers and SIM cards booked in one app before they fly.

KKday is a handy one-stop shop for activities across Asia, and the decision rests on each listing. Booking through our partner link carries no sign-up discount: it opens KKday's own site and lets KKday pay BonusRoam a commission on completed bookings. What every member gets is KKday Points, worth about 0.5% of what you pay, plus a birthday discount code once your profile is filled in. So judge every booking on its own terms: each product has its own supplier, cancellation policy, voucher and charging currency. Planning an Asia trip with a few paid activities? The account is worth having. If you only want one UK attraction, it adds little.

Pros

  • Strong range for Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and South-East Asia: tours, tickets, rail passes, transfers, Wi-Fi and SIMs
  • E-vouchers on your phone for most tickets, shown at the gate
  • Prices can be shown in pounds, and UK cards, Apple Pay and Alipay are accepted
  • Free membership with KKday Points on every booking: 1 point per US$1, and 50 points take US$0.25 off
  • A birthday discount code and member missions that pay points
  • Rated 4.7 on the UK App Store (525 ratings) and Google Play (77,400 reviews), 24 October 2026

Watch-outs

  • No sign-up discount through our partner link
  • Points back are small: about 0.5% at the base rate
  • Points need a 50-point minimum and expire 12 months after they're earned
  • Cancellation rules, confirmation times and vouchers vary by supplier and product
  • A refund can differ from what you paid because of exchange rates and fees
  • BritRail passes sold on KKday aren't for UK residents

What KKday is

KKday is a travel-experience marketplace founded in Taipei in 2014; its app is published by Kkday.com International Company Limited. Local suppliers run the tours, tickets and transfers, while KKday sells them, takes the payment and handles customer service. The app covers attraction tickets, private cars and airport transfers, Wi-Fi and SIM cards, accommodation and outdoor activities.

It is a booking platform, not a tour operator or a bank, so no UK regulator covers it, and a single activity ticket isn't a package holiday. What protects you is the cancellation policy on the product page, KKday's terms and, if something goes badly wrong, your card provider's dispute process.

What to book on it, and what to skip

KKday is strongest across Asia: rail passes such as the Japan Rail Pass, timed tickets like Shibuya Sky in Tokyo, city passes such as the Visit Busan Pass, theme parks, day tours from the big cities, airport transfers and travel SIMs. Booking these before you fly saves queueing at the venue, and many tickets arrive as an e-voucher you show on your phone.

It also lists London attractions and BritRail passes, but a BritRail pass is only for people who haven't lived in Britain for the last six months, so it's no use to UK residents. For days out at home KKday has little edge; its value is in planning a trip abroad in one app.

Booking through our partner link

Our link opens KKday's own website with BonusRoam's partner code attached. KKday runs this through its KKpartners affiliate programme, where the code tracks the visits and orders that arrive from a partner's site. There's no sign-up discount, credit or friend code on it: you register, book, pay and receive vouchers from KKday exactly as you would on kkday.com, and switch language and currency from KKday's menu.

Disclosure: BonusRoam may earn a commission from KKday on bookings made through our link. KKday works it out on the amount actually paid after coupons, counts only experiences that have taken place, and leaves out orders cancelled by you or the supplier.

Booking KKday through our partner link: open our link, which is KKday's own website with no sign-up discount; register or log in for free Silver membership and fill in your profile; book and pay after reading the cancellation policy and charging currency; earn 1 KKday Point per US$1 paid within a week of the trip. BonusRoam may earn a commission from KKday on completed bookings. 50 points take US$0.25 off, need a 50-point minimum and expire 12 months after they're earned.

Member levels, birthday code and missions

Registering is free and makes you a Silver member. KKday's member benefits page lists four levels, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, and says Silver members earn the full standard KKday Points with no cap. The perks it lists include using points as shopping cash from 50 points, swapping points for gifts and experiences, a birthday discount code, member missions and priority customer support; your account shows which ones your level carries.

Two are worth setting up before your first booking. The birthday code is issued on the 1st of your birthday month, but only once your member profile is filled in. Member missions pay experience points or KKday Points for set tasks: in the app, open "Mine" and tap "Claim Missions". Apply any code at checkout and check the total drops before you pay; if it doesn't, contact KKday through the app or at [email protected] first.

A trip, worked through

Take a Tokyo trip with a £45 timed ticket and a £55 airport transfer. There's no sign-up discount, so you pay £100. Points are earned on each booking at 1 per US dollar paid: £45 is about US$60.16 and £55 about US$73.53, so roughly 133 points. At 50 points to US$0.25 that's about US$0.67, or 50p off a later booking: 0.5% back.

Compare that with the charging currency. If a booking is billed in yen and your card adds a 2.99% non-sterling fee, that's £2.99 on this trip, six times the points. Choose KKday for the product, the price and the cancellation terms, and pay in pounds or with a card that has no foreign fee; the points are a small bonus on top.

Worked example: a £45 timed ticket and a £55 airport transfer; no sign-up discount on the partner link; you pay £100; about 133 KKday Points come back, worth about £0.50, or 0.5%. Points arrive within a week of each experience, need a 50-point minimum and expire 12 months after they're earned. Converted at ECB rates for 23 October 2026.

Cancellations and refunds

Every product sets its own cancellation policy, shown on the listing before you pay and again in your confirmation; flash deals and some printed vouchers can't be refunded at all. Cancellation deadlines run on the supplier's local time, not UK time, and KKday's product pages allow 2 to 5 business days to process a request before the refund goes back to your original payment method, where your bank can take longer to show it.

KKday's help centre lists cases where it refunds in full with proof, such as a cancelled or delayed flight, a natural disaster at the destination that stops the tour, or the death or terminal illness of a close relative. Contact KKday customer service as soon as it happens, and keep the airline's or supplier's notice as your proof.

Paying from the UK

KKday's currency menu includes pounds, and its UK app listing accepts Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay, American Express, Apple Pay and Alipay among others. Showing prices in pounds isn't the same as being charged in pounds: check the currency on the final payment screen, because a charge in another currency can add a foreign transaction fee on many UK cards.

KKday's terms warn that a refund can differ from what you paid because of exchange rates and fees charged by KKday, your card company or the payment processor. Keep the confirmation email and voucher for every booking; they're what KKday support, the supplier and your card provider will ask for.

KKday Points

Members earn 1 KKday Point for every US dollar paid after coupons and discounts, with other currencies converted at the US dollar rate. Points arrive within a week after the experience is finished. Once you have 50, the points discount appears at checkout: every 50 points take US$0.25 off a booking of US$1 or more, so the base rate is worth about 0.5% of what you spend. Points can also be swapped for rewards and coupons.

Unused points expire 12 months after they're earned: KKday's own example has points earned on 23 October expiring on 30 September the following year. They're tied to your account, can't be transferred and have no cash value, and KKday can change the programme at any time.

What users complain about

On 24 October 2026 KKday was rated 4.7 from 525 ratings on the UK App Store and 4.7 from 77,400 reviews on Google Play, with over a million downloads. Happy users mention instant e-tickets, punctual airport transfers and well-run tours.

The complaints are about edge cases: suppliers cancelling a day before a tour and refunds then taking longer than promised; a search returning a similar but wrong ticket, bought and non-refundable; vouchers or QR codes that wouldn't load at the gate; and slow confirmation on some products. Most are avoided by reading the product's cancellation policy, checking the exact item before paying and saving the voucher offline.

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use KKday, through our link, if you're planning a trip to Asia with a few paid activities, transfers or a rail pass and want them booked and vouchered before you go. Fill in your member profile first, read each product's cancellation policy and check the charging currency before paying.

Skip it if you're after a sign-up discount, if you only want a UK attraction or a BritRail pass as a UK resident, or if you need every booking to be freely cancellable. The points are too small to change any of those answers.

FAQ

Do I get a discount for booking through your link?
No. It's a KKday partner link with no sign-up discount or credit. BonusRoam may earn a commission from KKday on completed bookings.
Does using your link change anything for me?
The link opens KKday's own website, so you book, pay and get vouchers from KKday as normal. The only difference is that KKday can credit BonusRoam with the booking.
What are KKday Points worth?
You earn 1 point per US dollar paid after discounts, and 50 points take US$0.25 off: about 0.5% back. You need at least 50 points to use them, on a booking of US$1 or more.
When do KKday Points expire?
12 months after they're earned. Points earned on 23 October expire on 30 September the following year.
Is there a birthday discount?
Yes. KKday issues a birthday discount code on the 1st of your birthday month once your member profile is filled in.
Can I pay in pounds?
Prices can be shown in pounds, but check the currency on the final payment screen; a charge in another currency can carry your card's foreign transaction fee.
Can I cancel a KKday booking?
It depends on the product. Each listing shows its cancellation policy before you pay; flash deals and some printed vouchers are non-refundable.
