Pionex Review: What Is the 0iYT9oytTxq Fee Discount Really Worth?

Pionex reviewed with invite code 0iYT9oytTxq: the 10% spot and 7% futures fee discount, the 30-day and 365-day rules behind it, Pionex's fees and free trading bots, a worked example, who can't open an account, the custody risks, user complaints and who should skip it.

Best for

People outside Pionex's restricted countries who want to run grid or DCA bots on a low-fee exchange and are opening their first Pionex account.

Pionex is a cheap exchange built around free trading bots, and code 0iYT9oytTxq trims its fees a little further: 10% off spot and leveraged-token fees and 7% off futures fees. On a grid bot turning over $50,000 a month that is about $2.50 a month. The discount comes out of the referrer's commission, which Pionex only pays if you deposit and trade within 30 days of registering and limits to your first 365 days. Attach it if you are opening an account anyway; it is a small saving, not a reason to trade. Pionex bars residents of the UK, US, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, mainland China, France, Spain and the Netherlands.

Pros

  • 10% off spot and leveraged-token fees and 7% off futures fees, on maker and taker orders and every trading pair
  • Low base fees: 0.05% per spot trade, and 0.02% maker / 0.05% taker on futures
  • The bots are free to run: grid, DCA, rebalancing and the rest only pay the normal trading fee
  • Our link attaches the code at registration, with no minimum deposit to open the account
  • Pionex lets you add a code within 14 days of registering (3 days if you've already traded)
  • Rated 4.3 from 11,900 reviews on Google Play

Watch-outs

  • No cash or crypto bonus: the code only cuts fees you pay
  • The discount needs your first deposit and trade within 30 days and ends 365 days after registration
  • Closed to residents of the UK, US, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, mainland China, France, Spain and the Netherlands
  • Run by Marketa Trading Inc., with arbitration in Belize and no deposit protection
  • Leveraged tokens cost 0.1% a trade plus 0.03% a day built into the price
  • Bots automate orders, not profits: a grid bot keeps buying a falling coin

What Pionex is

Pionex is a crypto exchange built around automated trading. Alongside ordinary spot and futures trading, the app has 16 built-in bots, from grid and DCA bots to spot-futures arbitrage, which place orders for you inside Pionex. It lists more than 250 coins, and you hold them in your Pionex account rather than in your own wallet.

The operator named in Pionex's terms of service is Marketa Trading Inc., and Pionex says it holds a Money Services Business registration with FinCEN, the US Treasury's financial crimes bureau. That registration is an anti-money-laundering filing, not supervision of the exchange, and the terms themselves say Pionex may not be regulated as a financial institution where you live. Disputes go to ICC arbitration seated in Belize, under English common law.

Who can open an account

Pionex's terms bar residents and nationals of mainland China, Hong Kong, the United States, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, Spain and France, plus Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and anyone on a sanctions list. The block follows nationality and residence, not just your internet connection, so a VPN doesn't make an account legitimate, and Pionex can suspend an account that turns out to be ineligible.

Americans have a separate company, Pionex.US, whose app now trades as Webot; codes don't carry across between the two. Everywhere else, the products you see depend on local rules, and you pass identity verification before you can trade.

What code 0iYT9oytTxq gives you

Pionex pays every referrer a fixed commission of 20% of their friends' spot and leveraged-token fees and 15% of their futures fees, and lets the referrer hand part of it back as a fee discount. With 0iYT9oytTxq you get 10% off spot and leveraged-token fees and 7% off futures fees, on maker and taker orders and on every trading pair. Stock-token futures count as futures; stock-token spot trades and MEME tokens are excluded, and the arbitrage bot falls under a separate commission rule with no discount for you.

That is the whole benefit: no cash, no token bonus and no fee-free period.

Disclosure: 0iYT9oytTxq is our own code, so Pionex pays us a commission out of the trading fees you pay. Your 10% and 7% are the part we pass back to you.

The rules that switch the discount on and off

Your discount is a share of the referrer's commission, so it follows the commission rules Pionex has applied since 31 July 2025. Commission is only paid on referred users who deposit at least 100 USDT and make their first deposit and trade within 30 days of registering; miss that and later trades don't count. For a standard referrer it then runs for 365 days from your registration, and it stops being paid in full once your account reaches VIP2.

VIP2 is a long way off for most people: since November 2025 even VIP1 needs $3 million of futures volume or 20 BTC of spot volume in 30 days. The code itself goes in at registration when you open our link. If you sign up another way, Pionex's help centre lets you add a code from your profile within 14 days, or within 3 days if you have already placed a trade.

When the 0iYT9oytTxq discount applies: register through our link with the code attached, or add it within 14 days (3 days after a first trade); deposit at least 100 USDT and make a first trade within 30 days; then 10% off spot and leveraged-token fees and 7% off futures fees for up to 365 days from registration. Commission stops being paid in full at VIP2. Excluded: stock-token spot and MEME tokens.

Pionex's trading fees

Spot trades cost 0.05% for makers and takers, charged on each fill, so a grid bot's buy and its matching sell each pay 0.05%. Futures cost 0.02% for makers and 0.05% for takers at the standard rate, and funding payments between long and short positions are separate. Leveraged tokens and tokenised-stock spot trades carry a fixed 0.1% that VIP levels don't reduce, and leveraged tokens also lose 0.03% a day through a funding fee built into their price.

Pionex has no exchange token, so there is no pay-in-token discount. VIP levels, recalculated daily from your 30-day volume and average assets, are the only other way to cut fees, and the code only ever touches trading fees.

What the discount is worth: a worked example

A grid bot that turns over $50,000 a month in spot trades pays $25 in fees at 0.05%; the code returns $2.50, or $30 over the 365-day window. A manual trader doing $10,000 a month saves $0.50 a month. On futures, $50,000 of taker orders costs $25 and the 7% discount is worth $1.75.

So the discount is small change unless a bot trades heavily, and it never turns a losing strategy into a winning one. Take it because it costs nothing to attach when you open the account, not because it should change how much you trade.

What the discount is worth a month: $10,000 of spot trades pay $5.00 in fees and get $0.50 back; a grid bot turning over $50,000 of spot pays $25.00 and gets $2.50 back, $30 over 365 days; $50,000 of futures taker orders pay $25.00 and get $1.75 back.

Trading bots: what they automate and what they don't

The bots are the reason most people pick Pionex. A grid bot buys and sells at preset price steps inside a range you choose, a DCA bot buys a fixed amount on a schedule, and a rebalancing bot keeps a set mix of coins. They are free to run; each order they place pays the normal trading fee. A futures grid needs at least 10 USDT.

A bot only follows rules. If the price falls below a grid's range, the bot has spent your money buying all the way down and holds coins worth less than you paid; if it rises above, it has sold out and stops earning. Treat bot settings shared by other users like anyone else's trade idea: several app reviewers lost money on them.

Futures and leveraged tokens

Futures let you trade with leverage, so a small price move against you can liquidate your whole margin. Leveraged tokens package that leverage into a coin you buy on the spot market; they rebalance to keep their leverage, which erodes their value in a market that swings up and down, on top of the 0.03% daily fee.

If you are using Pionex for bots on ordinary spot coins, you need neither. The 7% futures discount is not a reason to start.

Custody, terms and account restrictions

Your coins sit with Pionex, and its terms let it hold assets with outside custodians and exchanges; if one of those fails, Pionex says it isn't liable for the loss. No deposit-protection scheme covers the account, and Pionex says staked assets aren't insured.

Pionex can limit, suspend or close an account with or without notice, for reasons including identity it can't verify, suspected restricted activity, legal orders, or a year without logging in to an empty account, and a legal freeze can last as long as Pionex considers necessary. Keep only what you trade with on the exchange, and switch on the withdrawal whitelist.

What users complain about

On 24 October 2026 the Pionex app was rated 4.3 from 11,900 reviews on Google Play, where it has more than a million downloads, and 4.4 from 138 ratings on the Australian App Store (4.0 from 120 in Germany).

The recurring complaints are trouble withdrawing, including security steps that need SMS, email and authenticator codes within a minute; losses on bots set up with other users' settings; and an interface that beginners find confusing. Positive reviews mostly praise the set-and-forget bots and the low fees.

Who should use it, and who should skip it

Use it if you live outside Pionex's restricted list, want to run a grid or DCA bot on coins you'd hold anyway, and are opening your first Pionex account: attach 0iYT9oytTxq through our link, then make your first deposit and trade within 30 days.

Skip it if you live in a restricted country, if you would only trade to use the discount, or if the bots appeal because they sound like passive income. They automate a strategy; they don't make it profitable.

FAQ

What Pionex invite code should I use?
0iYT9oytTxq. Open our link and it is attached at registration.
Is there a cash sign-up bonus?
Not from the code. It gives 10% off spot and leveraged-token fees and 7% off futures fees, so it is worth nothing if you don't trade.
How long does the discount last?
It is funded from referral commission, which runs for 365 days from registration for a standard referrer and only applies if you make your first deposit and trade within 30 days.
Can I add the code after signing up?
Pionex's help centre allows it within 14 days of registering, or 3 days if you've already placed a trade. Using our link avoids the deadline.
Can I use Pionex in the UK or the US?
No. UK residents are barred, and US residents have a separate company, Pionex.US (now Webot), where this code doesn't work.
Are the trading bots free?
Yes. Bots cost nothing to run; every order they place pays the normal trading fee, 0.05% on spot.
Is my money protected?
No deposit-protection scheme covers a Pionex account, and the terms say Pionex isn't liable if an outside custodian holding assets fails. Keep only your trading money there.
