Rip Station Review: 10% Off Your First Pack, Live Odds and the 83% Buyback

Rip Station's referral link takes 10% off your first graded Pokémon pack. Its published odds and EV, what the 83% buyback really returns, shipping costs and who runs it.

10% off your first pack. Sell-backs pay 83% of the card's value within seven days.

Best for

Adults who want to try one graded Pokémon pack at a discount and will judge it on Rip Station's own odds, not hope.

Take the 10% off if you want one graded Pokémon slab. Rip Station publishes more numbers than most: live odds by card value for every machine and dated expected-value snapshots. Read them properly. On 24 October 2026 the US$25 pack averaged US$28.10 of card value, but the 83% buyback turns that into US$23.32, and 59.8% of pulls were worth less than the pack price. With the discount you pay US$22.50, so the average sell-back just clears your cost while most single pulls don't. Keep or ship the slab if you want it; sell it back within seven days if you don't. Paid packs are a game of chance: don't buy more to chase a pull.

New

Rip Station (ripstation.io) is a digital Pokémon pack-opening platform — “Rip Graded Pokémon Slabs Digitally, Pull Real Cards.” Buy packs online and every pull is a real graded card held in insured third-party vaults and recorded on the Sui blockchain: keep it vaulted, pay to ship the slab, or — within seven days of the rip — sell it back at 83% of its current estimated market value (not the pack price), credited to your wallet. The site-wide referral panel says invited friends get “a 10% code for their first pack.” New accounts also show a 100 RP (Rip Station Points) referral signup bonus. Live odds are shown on each pack's page and an EV page publishes dated expected-value snapshots, but every opening is still random — treat paid packs as a game of chance, take the discount and never deposit to chase pulls. 18+ only; operated by Byzantine Port Technologies Inc. (Panama).

What the referral gets you

Sign up through the referral link and Rip Station takes 10% off your first pack. The discount code lands on your account shortly after you log in and applies automatically at checkout on your first rip; it's a standing offer with no end date. On the US$25 pack, you pay US$22.50.

New accounts also show a 100 RP sign-up bonus. RP are Rip Station's season points: you earn them by logging in and ripping, and spend them in the Point Shop, which sells shipping vouchers among other items. Signing up costs nothing; the discount only matters if you buy a pack.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher, not live where the service is prohibited and not be under sanctions. Rip Station may ask for identity verification at any time, and using a VPN or proxy to get round its geographic limits can get an account suspended.

Sign in with email, Google, Telegram or X and Rip Station creates a wallet for you in the background, or connect your own Sui wallet. You can rip on the website or in the Android app, and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Coinflow, or from a USDC balance.

What a pack holds

Rip Station is Pokémon only, and every pack pulls exactly one professionally graded card from a machine of real slabs. Machines run from US$25 to US$500, plus a US$50 Floor Pack and a US$50 Max Buyback Pack whose buyback is 90% instead of 83%.

The odds come from the cards loaded in each machine at that moment, shown by value band on the pack page, and they shift as cards are pulled and restocked. Rip Station says plainly that published odds are not a cryptographic proof of fairness, and every opening is still random.

Reading the odds and EV

Rip Station's EV page lists every machine with its price, average estimated card value and what the standard buyback would return. In the snapshot generated at 06:22 UTC on 24 October 2026, the US$25 pack's odds were 37.9% for a US$15–22 card, 21.9% for US$22–25, 33.8% for US$25–50, 4.7% for US$50–100 and 1.7% for US$100–250.

Its average card value was US$28.10, 12.4% above the price before shipping, taxes and selling costs. Sold straight back at 83%, the same average becomes US$23.32, 6.7% below the price. Expected value is an average over many pulls; one pack usually lands well above or below it.

Rip Station US$25 Pokémon pack odds on 24 October 2026, 06:22 UTC: US$15–22 cards 37.9% (sell back for US$12.45–18.26), US$22–25 21.9%, US$25–50 33.8%, US$50–100 4.7%, US$100–250 1.7%. Average card value US$28.10, average 83% sell-back US$23.32, first pack with 10% off US$22.50. 59.8% of pulls were worth less than the pack price

Worked example: your discounted first pack

With the referral you pay US$22.50 for the US$25 pack. Selling back only beats that if the card is valued at about US$27.11 or more, because 83% of US$27.11 is US$22.50. On the 24 October snapshot, at least 59.8% of pulls fell short: a US$15 card sells back for US$12.45 and a US$22 card for US$18.26.

So decide before you rip whether you want the slab itself. If you do, keep it or ship it and the buyback doesn't matter. If you only want money back, expect most single pulls to return less than you paid, even with the discount.

The 83% buyback

After each rip you can sell the card back for 83% of its current estimated market value, never 83% of the pack price. You see the exact offer on the card before accepting, the credit lands in your wallet at once, and the offer stays open for seven days. Rip Station prices cards from recent sales across the market, and it can suspend or change the buyback.

Wallet balances are held on the Sui blockchain and pay for packs and shipping. Rip Station's public pages don't publish a withdrawal minimum, fee or bank payout route, so check the wallet screen for cash-out options before you count buyback credit as cash.

After a Rip Station rip: keep the card in the insured vault, ship it (carrier rate plus US$5 handling per card, one-time ID check, duties paid on delivery) or sell it back at 83% of current estimated value within 7 days. Example for a US$30 card: sell back for US$24.90 in wallet credit, ship to a US address for about US$11, or ship abroad for US$18–36 a box plus US$5 a card

Shipping a slab home

Rip Station ships worldwide except to sanctioned or prohibited places. You pay the cheapest live rate from USPS, UPS and FedEx plus US$5 handling per card. Most single-card US orders come to about US$11 in total; international boxes usually cost US$18–36 plus handling. Two cards fit a small box and four a large one, and shipping is charged per box.

Import duties and taxes are yours, paid to the carrier on delivery, and each card is declared at its estimated market value. Insurance is optional at 1% of declared value (US$1 minimum, up to US$5,000 a box). Before your first shipment you pass a one-time ID check through Veriff. Most orders leave the vault the same business day and arrive in 2–5 business days, plus any customs time; report damage within five business days of delivery.

Who runs it, and how safe is the vault

Rip Station is run by Byzantine Port Technologies Inc. in Panama City, a subsidiary of Byzantion Inc., a Delaware company. Its terms follow Panama law and send disputes to individual ICC arbitration seated in Panama City; you can opt out by writing to its legal team within 30 days. Its liability is capped at the greater of what you paid in the previous 12 months or US$1,000.

Your slabs sit in insured third-party vault and grading facilities, with Rip Station acting as custodial agent, not insurer, and coverage subject to deductibles and limits. There is no shutdown fund: if the service closes, you'd typically get 30 days to claim vaulted cards. The Sui blockchain entry for a card shows what's in the vault; it isn't a solvency guarantee.

Our verdict: one discounted pack, decided in advance

Rip Station is worth one discounted pack if you're 18 or over and want a graded Pokémon slab: the odds and EV are public, the card is real and the 10% applies automatically.

Skip it if you're hoping to sell back at a profit, because the 83% buyback puts the average return below the price, or if you'd keep ripping to chase a big card. Outcomes are random and paid packs are a game of chance: don't buy more packs to chase a pull.
